Bass fishermen come in all shapes and sizes! Some are just interested in learning the basics of how to catch bass and some of the more seasoned pro’s will always look to improve there “game” with expert hints and tips.

I am reviewing here a book written by Frazer Wheaton called better bass fishing. I brought the book about 6 months ago looking to improve my only modest fishing skills and I was so impressed that I thought it warranted a short review for the public to take a look at the book.

Bass fishing has a fascinating history. It started in the late 18th century and continues to progress until today.

It probably was originally practiced in search for food among the people in the south of the United States. Since then, it has started gaining numerous audiences of all ages and nations. Today, countries such as Australia, Cuba, South Africa, United States and most of Europe participate in this kind of event.

Timelines

- The year 1768 or 1770 represents the birth of bass fishing sports. Onesimus Ustonson introduced his first multiplying reels to the fishing gurus and lovers. It was later developed into bait caster.

Skeletor the Largemouth Bass

It was fall of 2007, I had just made it back from Iraq. The son and I decided to take a ride to a pond on base and do some bass fishing. I have like to use top water baits like Hula Poppers or Buzz baits this time of year, and I was, with no success other than a few quick hits. However my son was killing the Bluegill and little largemouth bass with his beetle spin.

Well actually he wasn’t using a beetle spin in the traditional sense. We had removed the split tail body and placed a lime green rubber shade body on it. Worked like a charm, as always.

Most people have lots of fun and excitement persuading fishing. Bass is no longer consumed as food by the majority of anglers but has made a successful entrance in the world of sports and the Americans constitute the maximum portion of bass fisher.

Since bass is no more treated as food so they are making an excellent target for fishing sport. Anglers catch basses, and released in tanks as soon as it is caught. They are treated for stress and injury to their slime coats, and then released back into the water. Anglers are seriously penalized for dead fishes in a contests or competition offline.
